Zerovalent complexes of the type Pd(Ar-BIAN)(alkene), i.e. complexes containing the rigid bidentate nitrogen ligands bis(arylimino) acenaphthene (Ar = p-Tol, p-MeOC6H4, o-Tol,o,o′-Me2C6H3, o,o′-iPr2C6H3) and an electron-poor alkene have been shown to react with a variety of (organic) halides RX, including methyl, benzyl, aryl, acyl and allylic halides, to give the corresponding square planar divalent Pd(R)X(Ar-BIAN) or [Pd(η3-allyl)(Ar-BIAN)]X complexes. The new complexes obtained have been fully characterized and their fluxional behaviour in solution studied by 1H NMR spectroscopy. The rate of oxidative addition of iodomethane to Pd(p-Tol-BIAN)(alkene) complexes was found to decrease with increasing Pd-alkene bond strength, i.e. dimethyl fumarate fumaronitrile, but oxidative addition to the fumaronitrile complex was accelerated by irradiation with a mercury lamp. Zero-valent palladium precatalysts containing rigid bidentate bis(arylimino)acenaphthene ligands (shown schematically) facilitate the highly stereoselective homogeneous catalytic hydrogenation of alkynes to (Z)-alkenes. Internal, terminal, aryl-substituted, and cyclic alkynes are suitable substrates, as are some enynes, which are chemoselectively hydrogenated to dienes. E=CO(2)Me; R(1), R(2)=4-OCH(3), 4-CH(3), 2,6-(CH(3))(2).  相似文献

The kinetics of the stereoselective semi-hydrogenation of 4-octyne in THF by the highly active catalyst [Pd{(m,m'-(CF(3))(2)C(6)H(3))-bian}(ma)] (2) (bian = bis(imino)acenaphthene; ma = maleic anhydride) has been investigated. The rate law under hydrogen-rich conditions is described by r = k[4-octyne](0.65)[Pd][H(2)], showing first order in palladium and dihydrogen and a broken order in substrate. Parahydrogen studies have shown that a pairwise transfer of hydrogen atoms occurs in the rate-limiting step. In agreement with recent theoretical results, the proposed mechanism consists of the consecutive steps: alkyne coordination, heterolytic dihydrogen activation (hydrogenolysis of one Pd-N bond), subsequent hydro-palladation of the alkyne, followed by addition of N-H to palladium, reductive coupling of vinyl and hydride and, finally, substitution of the product alkene by the alkyne substrate. Under hydrogen-limiting conditions, side reactions occur, that is, formation of catalytically inactive palladacycles by oxidative alkyne coupling. Furthermore, it has been shown that (Z)-oct-4-ene is the primary reaction product, from which the minor product (E)-oct-4-ene is formed by an H(2)-assisted, palladium-catalyzed isomerization reaction.  相似文献

Unlike bis(diphenyl)phosphine derivatives in general, (2S,4S)-pentane-2,4-diyl-bis(5H-dibenzo[b]phosphindole), S,S-BDBPP, gives a trans oligomeric compound [PtCl2(S,S-BDBPP)]n, 1, in reaction with dichloro-Pt precursors such as PtCl2(PhCN)2, PtCl2(CH3CN)2 and PtCl2(COD) at room temperature. Compound 1, which could be readily isolated, slowly rearranges in solutions at room temperature to the expected cis-monomer PtCl2(S,S-BDBPP), 3. Heating or the presence of PtCl2(COD) accelerates the transformation of compound 1 to 3. SnCl2 adducts of both compounds, trans-[PtCl(SnCl3)(S,S-BDBPP)]n, 2, and cis-PtCl(SnCl3)(S,S-BDBPP), 4, as well as the known cis-PtCl(SnCl3)(S,S-BDPP), 5, (S,S-BDPP = (2S,4S)-2,4-bis(diphenylphosphino)pentane) have been tested as catalysts in the asymmetric hydroformylation of p-isobutylstyrene. The phenyl analog 5 provides up to 75% e.e. but moderate yields to chiral 2-(4-isobutylphenyl)-2-propanal. Compared to this, the regioselectivity to the branched aldehyde is remarkably increased; however, the enantioselectivity is drastically decreased by the use of both dibenzophosphole derivatives 2 and 4. The similarities in the selectivities provided by 2 and 4 indicate that the trans oligomer 2 transforms to the cis-monomer 4 during the catalytic process. X-ray crystal structure determination of compound 3 shows a half-chair conformation for the chelate ring with a symmetric arrangement of dibenzophosphole groups. Besides a preference for the latter achiral conformation, the planar structure of the dibenzophosphole groups can also be considered as reason for the moderate enantioselectivities provided by 4.  相似文献
